Pakistan cricket team wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan has withdrawn from the Lanka Premier League.
According to sources, Azam Khan did not apply for the NOC for the Lanka
Premier League. Due to the two-league policy, national cricketers are giving
preference only to major leagues.
Sources say that Azam Khan will play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL)
and ILT20. Azam Khan has not yet sent an application for the CPL; he will apply
for the NOC for the CPL, which starts on August 28, this week.
It is noteworthy that Azam Khan was picked by Kennedy's team in the Lanka
Premier League, while Saeem Ayub has only applied for the NOC for the CPL. The
decision on Saeem Ayub application for the CPL has not been made yet.
