England fast bowler Gus Atkinson has been awarded the ICC Man's Player of the Month for July 2024. He performed brilliantly against the West Indies and that performance helped him win the award.

Atkinson, the 26-year-old England fast bowler, made a brilliant debut in James Anderson's last Test match. In this series, he took a total of 12 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls. In the first Test, Atkinson took 7 wickets for 45 runs. West Indies were bowled out for 121 runs. In the same match, he again took five wickets and played an important role in England's victory.
Atkinson continued his best form throughout the series with 10 wickets. He also played the role of all-rounder in the second and last Test match and batted well.
