Sri Lankan spinner Kamindu Mendis surprised everyone by bowling with both hands during the first T20 International match against India.

The Sri Lankan spinner bowled to Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav with his left arm but switched to his right arm when bowling to Rishabh Pant. This display left fans and experts pleasantly surprised.

Fans were also interested that neither of the umpires present raised any objections or took any action.

According to clause 21.1.1 of the International Cricket Council (ICC) rules, the umpire will verify whether the bowler wants to bowl with his right arm or left arm, but the bowler must inform the umpire before doing so.

If the bowler does not inform the umpire about the change in delivery mode, it will be considered a "no-ball"; otherwise, such bowling is in accordance with the rules.

It is worth noting that in the first match of the three-match series, India defeated Sri Lanka by 43 runs at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium to take a 1-0 lead.
