To discuss Babar Azam captaincy and the structure of domestic cricket, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has summoned former cricketers to Lahore.
According to media reports, on Monday, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi will meet
with 30 to 35 international cricketers to deliberate on Babar Azam's captaincy
for the national team and to improve domestic cricket.
After receiving feedback on the domestic system from the former cricketers,
it is likely that their suggestions will be implemented.
Sources indicated that the cricketers will also be taken into confidence
regarding three new tournaments that will be initiated under the name
"Champions."
Earlier, during an informal conversation with the media, Mohsin Naqvi
mentioned that head coach Gary Kirsten has submitted a report regarding the
poor performance in the T20 World Cup. He also stated that no decision has been
made yet regarding the replacement of captain Babar Azam; the former cricketers
will decide on the matter of changing the captain.
