The first stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 has been completed, and the Super 8 stage will begin today among 8 out of the 20 teams.

The first stage of the T20 World Cup being held in the USA and West Indies ended in a very dramatic fashion, with teams like Pakistan (the finalists of the T20 World Cup 2022), Sri Lanka, and New Zealand getting eliminated in the first stage.

Surprisingly, the USA team, playing its first ICC event, managed to reach the Super 8. Additionally, Bangladesh and Afghanistan showcased excellent performances to secure their places in the Super 8.

In the Super 8 stage, the teams are divided into 2 groups, each comprising 4 teams. Group 1 includes Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, and India, while Group 2 consists of England, South Africa, the USA, and the West Indies.

The Super 8 matches will be played from today until June 25. Each team in both groups will play 3 matches, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

In the first match today, South Africa and the USA will face each other, starting at 7:30 PM Pakistan time.

It is noteworthy that all the remaining matches of the T20 World Cup will now be played in the West Indies, specifically in Barbados, Saint Lucia, Antigua, and Saint Vincent.

The two semifinals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be held on June 27, and the mega event's final will take place on June 29 in Barbados.
